Central Illinois Search and Rescue Management Class Being Offered in January |

The Fulton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency will be hosting a Search and Rescue Management (SARM) course though the Illinois Search and Rescue Council on January 21 and 22. The course is intended for individuals in the Illinois Search and Rescue community who wish to advance their knowledge in the SAR discipline as well as for those who will be serving as a Search Manager during a search and rescue event.

- Location: Fulton County Health Department, 700 E. Oak St, Canton, Illinois
- Dates: January 21-22, 2011
- Time: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm during both days
- Prerequisite: ISARC Search and Rescue Initial Operations (SARIO) or ISARC Basic Ground Search and Rescue 16-hour course (attendees must provide their ISARC course certificate at the start of the course on January 21)

Course Objectives - To provide potential Search Managers with the specialized skills and tools necessary to organize and conduct the initial operational period of a missing person search.
- To provide detailed information regarding resources, tactics, and organizational structures necessary to support the conduct of a missing person search.
- To provide an overview of SAR training and performance standards.
